چکیده

Introduction Due to complications of currently available therapies, the clinical impetus to engineer adipose tissue for the correction of soft tissue defects is high. Unfortunately, poor survival of in vitro-engineered adipose tissue after transplantation is still a major hurdle for clinical use. The main reason for this poor survival is postulated to be insufficient vascularization. In this study, we aim to improve the in vivovascularization of engineered adipose tissue by pre-forming vascular structures within in vitroengineered adipose tissue constructs that can integrate with the host vascular system upon transplantation.

Induction of Chondrogenic Differentiation of Human Adipose-Derived Stem Cells with TGF-β3 in Pellet Culture System

Objective Adult stem cells which are derived from different tissues, with their unique abilities to self-renew and differentiate into various phenotypes have the potential for cell therapy and tissue engineering. Human adipose tissue is an appropriate source of mesenchymal stem cells with wide differentiation potential for tissue engineering research. In this study isolated stem cells from hum...

Review Paper: Adipose Tissue, Adipocyte Differentiation, and Variety of Stem Cells in Tissue Engineering and Regeneration

Human adipose tissue represents an abundant, practical and appealing source of donor tissue for autologous cell replacement. Recent findings have shown that stem cells within the stromalvascular fraction of adipose tissue display a multilineage developmental potential. Adipose tissue-derived stem cells can be differentiated towards adipogenic, osteogenic, chondrogenic, myogenic and neurogenic li...

Vascularized adipose tissue grafts from human mesenchymal stem cells with bioactive cues and microchannel conduits.

Vascularization is critical to the survival of engineered tissues. This study combined biophysical and bioactive approaches to induce neovascularization in vivo. Further, we tested the effects of engineered vascularization on adipose tissue grafts. Hydrogel cylinders were fabricated from poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEG) in four configurations: PEG alone, PEG with basic fibroblast growth f...

Extract of mouse embryonic stem cells induces the expression of pluripotency genes in human adipose tissue-derived stem cells

Objective(s): In some previous studies, the extract of embryonic carcinoma cells (ECCs) and embryonic stem cells (ESCs) have been used to reprogram somatic cells to more dedifferentiated state. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of mouse ESCs extract on the expression of some pluripotency markers in human adipose tissue-derived stem cells (ADSCs). Materials and Methods: Human A...

Engineering of pre-vascularized urethral patch with muscle flaps and hypoxia-activated hUCMSCs improves its therapeutic outcome

Tissue engineering has brought new hopes for urethral reconstruction. However, the absence of pre-vascularization and the subsequent degradation of materials often lead to the failure of in vivo application. In this study, with the assistance of hypoxia-activated human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUCMSCs), pedicled muscle flaps were used as materials and pre-incubated in ventral peni...
